About me
Name: Penelope Bartlett
Training: Maria Grey Froebel Training College
Qualification: University of London National Froebel Foundation Teaching Certificate.
Experience:
Having begun my teaching career in primary schools, my interest in the problems experienced by children with learning difficulties soon led me into special education where for many years I have taught children with special needs.
In 1986, after many years of studying dyslexia and attending courses on the subject I compiled the Wessex Dyslexia Programme and gave my first course for teachers. After giving two further courses in 1987, I founded the Wessex Dyslexia Tutors’ Group.
Additional teaching courses have taken place over the years and using the Wessex Dyslexia Programme the group’s tutors have provided specialised individual tuition for countless children and adults throughout Dorset and Hampshire.
